Ballet Partners Participation in Springfield Ballet’s Ballet Partners 2009-10 campaign will provide necessary resources to offset substantial expenses needed to produce Springfield Ballet’s annual productions. This season promises to delight and inspire audiences with an all new production of The Nutcracker, featuring an expanded cast and professional guest artists performing the roles of The Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. In the spring, Springfield Ballet will present Peter and the Wolf and other Stories…This mixed-bill program with feature the ballet version of the children’s tale Peter and the Wolf, as well as three original ballets, one of which will be accompanied by the Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra under the direction of Christopher Koch. Our children’s series production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears is sure to entertain, even the youngest of audiences.
Your participation in Ballet Partners allows Springfield Ballet the opportunities to collaborate with other artists to provide the finest dance performance experience in Southwest Missouri. Your involvement as a Ballet Partner will also provide new costuming, reservations for approximately 500 tickets for underserved youth and their caregivers to attend Springfield Ballet performances, transportation for all of Springfield’s 2nd graders to attend a performance of Nutcracker, as well as general expenses incurred to produce the 2009-2010 performance season.
